Dear Awesome Nature Communicators, Sedona, snow on Saquaro cactus and horse sculptures
Thank you for our Nature communication adventures on the 10th of April!
In class we communicated with some of our fellow beings of Nature on the topic of cooperation. Interestingly, Nature is a beautiful example of cooperation and balance. We can learn so much from Nature!
One of the things we heard from our conversations with beings of Nature was the suggestion of more play in our lives, more time enjoying simply being, and enjoying our families, friends and being in Nature.
The last question we explored in class was with regard to how we look at our relationships, which is the foundation of cooperation.
Areas to Explore in your daily life: There is an idea that we bring 50% to the table and others bring 50% equaling 100%. With this kind of a perspective it occurs to me we could have a negative viewpoint on ourselves and others which can undermine relationships and cooperation. What if we each chose to simply be 100% with whomever we are with, and what if we chose individually, personally to be 100% in life? What would that be like? Would it be any different than how it is now? Would we be more effective? Would we have greater satisfaction personally in our lives? Would we have greater harmony and cooperation with others?
In class Richard shared how he noticed a big difference when a favorite sports team showed up on the field as each player being there 100% versus 50% or less. He said it was clearly noticeable and also the results aligned with how the team members showed up as well. For instance, when they showed up less than 100% no matter how important the game was to them they did not perform well. When they were there 100% no matter what they could be a force to be reckoned with.
OK, so with all that being said, how about if we show up 100% between now and when we meet again. The most important thing is to be aware of how you are showing up and make a choice to be 100% or not. Choice is powerful.
An example is just last weekend I went snowshoeing for the first time. I just turned 60. I have done many winter sports but had not snowshoed. We climbed 1800 feet and traveled up and down in the mountains for nearly 6 miles. Walking with snowshoes is like having duck feet. I was tripping over me big feet and wasting energy. My nephew gave me some tips to help me. He said to step boldly with determination and confidence. Wow, did that ever help?! Right away the next step I took I took boldly with determination and I notice I was much steadier on my feet and I stepped clearly free of stepping on the other snowshoe. Stepping with determination is like being there 100%, it is like making a commitment to go up the mountain whatever the result or consequence. It is like being full in 100%.
Until we meet again in May: Say hello to animals, plants and other beings of Nature. Talk with them as you would a fellow human being. Ask questions, share, take notes and enjoy knowing you are making a difference for a being who normally goes unheard. 1. Notice what percent you are showing up and shift to 100% if you choose. Notice how you feel with this focus. 2. Try being 100% present with another being of life, ie animal, human animal, plant, etc. 3. Take a few moments to be with you 100%.
Ongoing explorations into transforming our world: If you were the designer of human life living here at Mother Earth, how would that look? Imagine if you could wiggle your nose and have it however you wished what would life be like here? How does it feel to you to imagine this?
Let's create our visions of living in harmony, living in harmony with all life! Visions felt, powerfully create our tomorrows!
What visions have you unknowingly been a part of supporting? For example, what realities have you continued to think about and experience emotion over which upset you and continue to this day? What if you acknowledged they exist and then put your heart and mind to envisioning how you would love it to be? A personal example for me is the abuse of horses. I could stay in my upset reaction, or I can spend a bit of time creating a world where all horses are cherished. This takes a bit of thought. What is my choice? What is yours?
