Your assignment this time is to discover the power of acknowledgment! This is so POWERFUL I encourage you to take time to do this assignment as it may impact every aspect of your life and your relationships in more ways than are imaginable.
I have noticed if I allow myself to function in what may be considered a normal human way then I may never be satisfied with myself or my life. Human habits of being can be detrimental to our spirit and to our enterprises, and to our dreams. Specifically, common human habits of being with ourselves can cause us confusion, a lack of satisfaction, and a lack of fulfillment and joy in living.
So here is your assignment to discover the power of acknowledgment: 1. Set an alarm or schedule a meeting on your calendar first thing in the morning. You only need to allot 5 minutes to accomplish this task. 2. Who do you wish to be today? For instance, what is a way you will chose to be today? Let me give you some ideas as there are an endless number of possibilities. Earlier today in the class, Nature Communication for Global Transformation I heard from Mother Earth I could choose as my purpose to be joy. So I will choose that now! Ok, so I am joy! I will take a few minutes to allow myself to experience my experience simply being joy. Ah.... it feels good! I feel a weight lifting off my shoulders! Being ~ joy ~ resonates with me so much! OK, now as a human being and doing I have lots of emails to attend to. I have lots of new projects to lift off and I have many responsibilities with my family and friends too. How do I be joy? What does that mean? What does that look like? How am I relating with myself too? 3. If I gave someone else the purpose of being joy what would I expect of that person? Would I be upset with them if they weren't ~ joy ~ all the time? Would I be patient with their learning process and to discover what being joy is for them? Or, would I be upset with them? 4. Back to me, is it possible to look back on my life and see where I have been joy and to acknowledge myself for that? Am I willing to take in that acknowledgement and to comment? 5. What if each day you gave yourself acknowledgement for who you are, for your passion to make a difference, for your vulnerability, for your anger and frustration, for your action, for your lack of action for your silliness and for your seriousness? What if you gave yourself acknowledgement for being? Explore this! 6. Give yourself acknowledgement for things each day no matter what. Even if you spent the day in bed (feeling fully well) you can acknowledge yourself.
